It features sweeping panes of pink roses against a yellow and deep teal with alternating peacock feather-like shapes of gold gilt, heavily embellished with moriage, as is the lid. According to Kovels, Nippon Porcelain dates between 1891-1921. After that, US law required imports to be labeled with the country of origin in English. This one-of-a-kind piece.
