RARE vintage collectible Jadeite glass figurine of the Spark Plug the Horse from the Barney Google and Spark Plug 1920s comic strip which was created by cartoonist Billy De Beck. Spark Plug was first introduced as a character in 1922, who along with the character Snuffy Smith, helped to skyrocket the comic strip to the height of popularity. The Spark Plug figurine wears his trademark patched blanket with the words "Barney Google's" and "1923" on one side and "Spark Plug" and "USA" on the other side. Stoked to be able to offer this piece of Depression Era nostalgia!!!

The figurine was crafted by Guernsey Glass, USA, and marked with a 'B' inside a triangle on the bottom.

New old stock. In excellent condition, free from chips.
