We are thrilled to offer this fabulous and rare set of eight "Gay Nineties" frosted Tom Collins cocktail frosted glass tumblers in a steel caddy with rolled handles. Each glass is hand painted with a unique figural design and a "Here's to..." toast painted below the illustration. The colours include raspberry and black with touches of yellow and green. The glasses are in excellent vintage condition, free from chips, with minor age-related wear at the point where the glasses meet the caddy. The paint is in excellent condition and has remained vibrant and shiny. Each glass is marked with the Federal Glass symbol of the F inside a shield. The caddy has age-related discolouration, but is in excellent sturdy condition.

Trailblazing designer and businesswoman, Fran Taylor, was the CEO of Gay Fad Studios, based in Lancaster Michigan, which became reknowned for its mid-century vintage glassware, including pitcher sets, cookie jars and frosted barware. Whimsical original designs crafted by Ms. Taylor and her employees, were hand painted on glass blanks from Federal Glass and Anchor Hocking and sold under the Gay Fad brand. Gay Fad's unique style glassware has become highly sought after by contemporary vintage collectors.
