A charming piece of Florida history — this little ceramic beehive pot was made as a promotional souvenir for Tropic Bee, Tropical Blossom Honey Co. of Edgewater, Florida. The McGinnis family ran the company from 1937 until it closed in 2016. The pots were made in Japan and sold as tourist keepsakes from the mid-20th century onward.
It's got all the good stuff: a basketweave body, embossed 3D bees, a side handle/pour spout, and a lidded top with a figural bee finial. A sweet vintage find for honey pot collectors or fans of mid-century Americana.
