Antique Northwood Grape & Cable Marigold Carnival Glass Covered Butter Dish
A striking example of early American art glass, this covered butter dish was produced by the Northwood Glass Company around 1910 — one of the most celebrated makers of carnival glass. The marigold iridescence shifts from amber to copper in changing light, a hallmark of the era's finest pressed glass.
Pattern & Design
The iconic Grape & Cable pattern wraps the domed lid in a dense grapevine relief, while the dish features a smooth sawtooth rim and a starburst pressed into the centre base. Both pieces bear the characteristic oil-slick finish that collectors prize.
