Gorgeous vintage mid-century lidded jar in the "Anemone" pattern on blue ground, hand painted in shades of pink, purple and green using the slip glaze technique. Made by Moorcroft Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1950.
In excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Impressed marks with signature of Walter Moorcroft "MOORCROFT" and "MADE IN ENGLAND" and a BIRKS sticker on the bottom. Impressed "MOORCROFT" inside the lid. Crazing which is normal for a piece of this age.
