Amethyst Glass Bud Vase by Diamond Glass Company, c. 1913–1931

A striking example of early American art glass, this 8-inch amethyst "Twigs" swung bud vase was produced by the Diamond Glass Company — successor to the celebrated Dugan Glass — between 1913 and 1931. The design features a compressed root-form base with thick, veined panels that rise from a scalloped foot to a gracefully scalloped rim, giving the piece its distinctive organic character.
