This piece is a shabby chic kitschy dream and has got to be one of the most adorable pieces we've found in the wild! It is a lovely creamy white barrel-shaped ceramic cookie jar or biscuit barrel, decorated in relief with embossed cookies in pinks, yellows and brown and atop the lid is is a golden walnut finial. The barrel has a bamboo handle wrapped with red plastic cording. Circa 1950, Japan.
In great vintage condition, no chips, however, there is minor staining and crazing. Marked "10053" on the bottom.
