This piece is a shabby chic kitschy dream and has got to be one of the most adorable cookie barrels we've found in the wild! It is a lovely creamy white square shape, decorated in relief with different birds in pinks, yellows, blues and greens and the lid is decorated with cute polka-dots of the same colours. The barrel has a rattan handle wrapped with plastic cording. Circa 1950, Japan.
In fair vintage condition, no chips, however, the blue bird side is cracked. Marked "Japan" on the bottom.
