Smoked glass covered sugar  designed by Joe Colombo for Arno of Italy, circa 1960. It is rare to find this smoked glass brown tinged version of this Italian glassware. Each piece has a sleek mid century modernist geometric design with a silhouette that makes the contents in this pressed glass appear suspended above the table surface.

Joe Colombo was an industrial designer who created artful pieces for Arno of Italy. Colombo was instrumental in the Italian modernist movement throughout the 1960s. He designed innovative objects, furniture and interiors that were practical while maintaining a sense of style.

In excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Marked "ITALY" on the bottom.
