Vintage mid-century modern purple and blue alexandrite neodymium modernist art glass ashtray. Crafted by Moser, Czechoslovakia, circa 1950s. The unique properties of alexandrite glass allow it to change colour in different types of light triggered by the use of Neodymium in the production of the crystal. Under fluorescent light, it appears blue and under incandescent or natural light, it appears purple. A stunning piece of art glass to add to your collection!
